A new S.M.A.R.T. pilot program that will offer Stress Management And Resiliency Training for adults will begin June 15th, 2020. Alex Eingorn, DC will lead the online program once a week for eight weeks as part of Better Health Chiropractic PC in New York City. Online participation will be part of the engaging program. The initial program is being provided free of charge.

New York, NY (Updated May 19th, 2020) – Better Health Chiropractic, a chiropractic and holistic health practice in New York City, has announced the launch of S.M.A.R.T. (Stress Management And Resiliency Training). This eight-week health and wellness workshop teaches life-changing skills grounded in the latest neurophysiological research to manage stress for better health. Participants will focus on developing tools that can increase their productivity, peace and personal and professional fulfillment. The sessions cover stress management adaptive techniques, mind-body awareness, creative expression and cognitive therapy. Clients will also receive the help needed to develop a personal plan for continuing these practices once the workshop is over.

This S.M.A.R.T. series is being led by Alex Eingorn, who has spent over thirty years as a chiropractor and practitioner of holistic treatments. Under his guidance, participants will gain a better understanding of their own stress response mechanisms and discover how to enhance their stress management and adaptive behaviors. Weekly two hour sessions will include essential tools for clients to make important social connections, add creative expression to their lives, and use yoga fitness and diet to improve their health and outlook.

The stress hormone cortisol can do tremendous damage to the body. Dr. Eingorn says his goal is to help participants face everyday issues, like confrontations, financial stress, or work pressures and deal with them constructively and in a healthy way that triggers a positive mindset and peace.

Important Tools for Managing Stress

S.M.A.R.T. covers a wide range of tools, including Relaxation Response, Emotion Identification, Body Scans, Mindfulness, Stress Signals, Social Support, Yoga and Movement, Adaptive Perspective, Food, and Sleep Science, Achieving through Acceptance, Joyful Place, Root Fears, Healing States, Health through Creative Expression and more. An overview of the science behind these practices is included.

S.M.A.R.T. participants will learn to make important Mind Body connections and develop a plan for their practice to achieve better health and a happier life when they are finished with the course. “My goal is to help others master the S.M.A.R.T. skills that lead to greater happiness, a higher sense of fulfillment and increased creativity and clear thinking,” says Dr. Eingorn. “All of these are life-changing skills that lead to better health, both physical and mental.”

The S.M.A.R.T. Stress Management And Resiliency Training series will take place on Monday evenings from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., beginning June 15th. There is no cost for the course, and materials.
